Our journey began in the pharmaceutical industry, where we both worked as scientists. Although we enjoyed our careers, we always dreamt of owning our own business. This dream led us to establish Twin Oak Sawmill in 2023, after ordering our sawmill in 2022 and meticulously planning our business model.

From the outset, our mission has been clear: to create beautiful, sustainable lumber from logs that might otherwise be discarded as firewood or left to rot. We believe in the importance of utilizing every part of the tree and transforming it into something functional and aesthetically pleasing. This commitment to sustainability drives our mobile sawmill services, which we proudly offer throughout the Kansas City Metro area.
