Walnut & white oak slabs
Our two main species. Walnut brings deep browns and mocha tones, and white oak is strong and durable with a distinctive grain. Both are popular for dining tables, bar tops, desks and waterfall tables.
Cookies
Cross-cut rounds in a variety of species, depending on what we’ve recently milled. Ideal for end tables, serving trays and cutting boards.
Mantels, milled to order
A live-edge mantel makes a striking centerpiece for any fireplace. Mantels are milled to order rather than kept in stock, and kiln sterilization is available on request. Because mantels are so thick, most can simply dry in place after sitting for a few weeks.
Walnut and white oak are our two main species. We often have cherry slabs as well, and we regularly mill hickory, pecan, Osage orange and other species, so our inventory changes from week to week. Call or text to ask what’s currently in stock.
Thicknesses: we usually have slabs in 6/4, 8/4, 10/4 and 12/4 (about 1½” to 3″ thick). Each log is sawn to the thickness it’s best suited for, depending on its size and character.

We keep a large selection on our racks, so you can compare slabs side by side before choosing. Many are extra wide. Our slab mill cuts up to 58″, enough for a full dining table from a single slab. Every slab is sawn here from local logs and dried in our own kiln, and we can surface it before it leaves the yard.

How wide are your slabs?

What thicknesses do you carry?
We usually have 6/4, 8/4, 10/4 and 12/4 slabs. We saw each log to the thickness that suits it best, based on its size and character, so availability varies.
Can I pick out my own slab?
Yes. Come to the yard Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 4, and choose the exact slab you want. Park in front of the shop with the wooden deck and come into the building marked Sawmill.
